Hello and welcome to Authentic Woman, my empowerment site for women. It’s important to note that we all have a story to tell and a voice to speak our authentic truths. However, that isn’t always the case for those I refer to as the “underdog” No matter the reason or the season, you have to know that you matter and your voice needs to be heard.

I am Clara Freeman, a poet, author, and activist. As a lifelong learner and people’s advocate, I’ve studied and gleaned pearls of wisdom from visionary works of the well known to the life wisdoms of lesser known folks. I’ve spent over four decades in “people” service. A champion for the voiceless, my work has appeared as a features writer for community newspapers, lifestyle strategist, motivational columnist, nurse advice columnist for magazines, professional blogger, book reviewer, and women’s empowerment author.

I am a mom of two, grandma of seven and gram-gram to a beautiful little great-granddaughter!  Yes, it takes stamina, but I know that I am fearfully and wonderfully made:)

I have many things that I’m passionate about, but my undeniable purpose is to empower the authentic woman voice, and awaken all women to live and walk in their authentic truths. Because I’ve been there, done and lived that, I know how fearful change in ones’ becoming can be. But, with compassionate and passionate guidance, you will arrive at a place of intuitive awareness, realized purpose and possibility. You will become better in all areas of your living.

I am always open to sharing some of my personal life experiences and techniques to becoming your best self. I implement a simple strategy encompassing a process to progress mentality that when put into practice, enables your mindset to achieve your goals and establish a professional, and personal lifestyle of happiness and well being. In addition to over 30 years of nurse leadership position and people skills, I am certified in leadership and coaching through the DePaul University Hay Project.
